Lucky Farmer is Winter Fair Winner

A dairy farmer from Tyrone has walked off with the top prize in a recent NIE Energy prize draw.

Derek Edgar from Trillick was entered into the draw when he had his electricity tariff checked during a visit to the NIE Energy stand at the recent Winter Fair in the King’s Hall in Belfast.

John McCay, Farm Energy Manager with NIE Energy, recently visited Mr Edgar at his home to present him with his prize, a luxury Christmas hamper. Everyone who had a free tariff check on the NIE Energy stand during the Winter Fair was entered into the prize draw, which Mr Edgar won.

Prize winner Derek Edgar from trillick said:
“Im delighted to have won this prize. It will add a touch of luxury to our Christmas.

“Dairying has gone through tough times recently, and we all have to control input costs. Electricity is one that I have reduced as much as I can.
