Direct Debit sparks a winner in West Belfast

A lucky lady from West Belfast is the latest winner of NIE Energy’s recent prize draw.

Patricia McCabe recently switched to pay her electricity bills by direct debit. She was entered into the prize draw and has won £500.

NIE Energy’s Emma Gribben recently visited Patricia in her West Belfast home to present her with the prize.

Emma said: “Many congratulations to Patricia. Paying by direct debit has never been easier and it is becoming very popular among our customers. It offers great peace of mind as you don’t have to worry about paying a lump sum.”

Patricia is pleased she decided to sign up to direct debit to cut the cost of her electric. She delighted by the win and looks forward to spending her money. She told us: “The monthly direct debit scheme means I can budget myself over the months and not have a huge bill coming in, especially over the winter.”

Householders who choose to pay their NIE Energy bill by monthly direct debit get up to £40 a year off electricity bills which is a 4% discount. Monthly direct debit enables householders to spread the cost of their electricity over the course of the year, taking into consideration possible seasonal changes in usage. Customers will know how much is due to go out of their account as a monthly amount is set, giving customers more control.

If you prefer to pay the actual NIE Energy bill amount, customers can pay by quarterly direct debit saving up to £26 per year, 2.5% off bills.
