February Fun for Larne Lady

February will be a particularly fun month for one lucky lady from Larne.

Eleanor Nugent from Larne recently won £500 when she signed up to pay her NIE Energy electricity bill by direct debit and was entered into a NIE Energy prize draw.

NIE Energy’s Kathryn Kyle recently visited Eleanor in her Larne home to present her prize. Kathryn said:

“Customers paying by monthly direct debit get up to £40 discount a year, 4% discount. With the current economic climate, every little saving helps. On top of that, paying by monthly direct debit means you pay a fixed amount each month, so you know what’s going to come out of your bank account.

Eleanor is delighted by the win and is looking forward to spending her money. Eleanor told us: “Paying for my electricity by monthly direct debit is great and means I don’t have a quarterly bill coming in. I know exactly how much is going out of my bank account every month.”

Householders who choose to pay their NIE Energy bill by monthly direct debit get up to £40 a year (£10 a quarter) off electricity bills, which is a 4% discount. Monthly direct debit enables householders to spread the cost of their electricity over the course of the year, taking into consideration possible seasonal changes in usage. Customers will know how much is due to go out of their account as a monthly amount is set, giving customers more control.

If you prefer to pay the actual NIE Energy bill amount, customers can pay by quarterly direct debit saving up to £26 (£6.50 a quarter) per year, 2.5% off bills.
